A Japanese web media for couples and married partners.
Mission
Conversations that go nowhere. Suspicion you can’t shake. Months without touching each other. Money you keep failing to agree on. In-laws who wear you down. Couples carry a lot of problems that are hard to raise with friends or family.
loveren answers those problems with concrete steps rather than sympathy. Not “put up with it” and not “leave” — a third option, broken down into cases and steps you can actually take.
We work across five areas: conversation, trust, physical intimacy, money, and family. Every piece is written as a change to the system between two people, not as a demand that one of them change.
Editorial stance
- No verdicts. We don’t tell readers they lack patience, or that leaving would be faster. We lay out the situation so they can choose.
- Usable tonight. Not abstract encouragement — a specific thing to say, send, or set up this week.
- Limits we keep. Domestic violence, coercive control, legal questions such as divorce and custody, and medical diagnosis are outside what an article should settle. In those cases we point to the appropriate professional or public helpline.
Drafts are produced with the help of generative AI and reviewed before publication by an editor and by our supervisor, Yuho Ito, who checks both factual accuracy and whether the piece judges the reader’s relationship.
Articles are published in Japanese. A growing subset is translated into English.
